We're here in Beijing

We finally got to Beijing. We were all pretty tired but wound up at th same time. We got into the hotel and got our pajamas on and watched a little HBO and then fell asleep.

We slept until 6:00am and then got up and made coffee.

Brad is suffering from a terrible case of hives. He has them all over and is very itchy. We're not sure what is causing them but it got worse yesterday while traveling. We're hoping it is better today.

We don't have much planned today since we already did the major Beijing tours last time we were here, so we will probably take it easy and rest up fr our big day tomorrow. Our guide, Michelle showed us where we can walk around today and find a department store and a super market. We also thought about going to the Beijing zoo, depending on the wheather.

We leave the hotel at 5:50am tomorrow morning to catch our flight to Nanchang and will get to meet Molly in the afternoon! Only one more night as a family of 3!

We'll post tomorrow as soon as we can!

So far we're in Tokyo

We are in Tokyo now, waiting for our flight to Beijing.  Summer has been a super girl.

When we were on our flight from Asheville to Detroit, Summer was playing with the air sickness bag and we were talking about how it it used.  As we were about to land, she slowly reached for it, opened it and put it up to her mouth.  I asked her if she was going to get sick and she answered me by throwing up into the bag!  What a good girl, not one drop was spilled. We wiped her mouth and she got out a piece of bubble gum to get rid of the taste.  She has always gotten sick on long car rides, but she hadn't in a long time, so I thought she had outgrown it. Guess not.
We will post again tomorrow.

OUR TRAVEL DATES ARE CHANGED

Well, we found out that our travel dates have changed. They could not
get a guid for us the week we were going to go, so we are going the
following week. We will be gone from November 29th to December 12th.

The good thing is, we will have more time to settle into our new house
and get everything ready for the baby. I'm glad about that but I just
can't stand the fact that our little girl will be there one more week
without her family!

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!

We held the quilt drawings at my work yesterday morning and the winner of the large quilt is my good friend GRACE!!  I am excited for her!!   The winner of the throw size quilt is my Nephew Jared!  He just got married this summer.

We held the drawing at the Urgent Care in front of several of my co-workers.  I had Janette do the drawing, she is one of the most fair," by the book", people I know, so I knew that no one could question the validity of the drawing.  Of course since Grace is my good friend, people will wonder, but those of us who were there know just how it happened.

I wish I had a quilt to give all of the people who bought tickets.  I am so grateful to have so many friends and family who helped us out with our adoption expenses by buying tickets.  THANK YOU TO ALL WHO DID!!!
